TORRANCE, CA - October 18, 2006 - Pelican(TM) Products' high-impact, watertight Protector(TM) Cases have been chosen to house the AMS Hollow Stem Auger Sampling Kit.

Formulated for easy and accurate soil, soil gas and ground water sampling, the Hollow Stem Auger Sampling Kit provides all tools needed for testing personnel to reach a depth sample of up to 6-feet. The kit includes a three-foot Auger extension with inner rod, a 7/8" x 24" hollow stem soil probe, a slide hammer and two adjustable crescent wrenches. It also features a Bosch® 11245 Electric Rotary Hammer Drill as well as a lead auger with tip, inner rod, plug cap and drill adapter.
Pelican Protector Cases boast a fully-stackable, trademarked, "Dual Band" design with an open cell-core wall, polymer construction that protects sensitive equipment from some of the harshest conditions on Earth. To ensure easy and immediate access, most cases in the line feature double-throw latches that have been engineered to withstand nearly 400 pounds of force yet open with a light pull. To protect against cutting and theft, stainless steel padlock protectors are standard as well.
