Ft. Lauderdale, FL- AMREL debuts their ROCKY DA5-M Rugged PDA at AFCEA LandWarNet 2007. As the first and only Rugged PDA to offer a 4" - 640x480 Display, full size PCMCIA, and 2.0 USB Ports, ROCKY knocks-out their competition at AFCEA.

Not only does this newly released ROCKY have the fastest connectivity, the clearest display, and infinite expansion capabilities enabled by the PCMCIA, it also offers a unique opportunity for third party integration such as embedded DAQ card applications, for turn key solutions.

In regards to third party integration, Ms. Susan Allen, V.P. of Sales further explains, "strong interest in this unique feature of our PDA has been expressed by groups developing military applications." Ms. Allen continues, "one such application is related to former Senator Bob Dole's initiative to move the detection of brain trauma into the battlefield for earlier diagnosis. According to Edward Chen, CEO of AMREL, "the development of technology that increases the well being and safety of our troops is a high priority to our company."

Encased and sealed in magnesium, Certified at MIL-STD 810F, MIL-STD 461E, IP65, and Explosive Atmosphere Tested, the ROCKY DA5-M Rugged PDA is tough and reliable enough for any Military application.
