Issued December 30, 2014 the new patent protects PCN's cutting edge methodologies for segregating power distribution networks and bidirectional communication paths with supplemental sensory and control information. It specifically covers and protects methods and systems related to the providing of power distribution taps, dual power communication taps, multiplexed serial and industrial Ethernet, and data management methods allowing clean power and reliable communication to be shared on the same conductive infrastructure. This opens up additional market opportunities in the accelerated deployment of new IP based device and sensor networks within critical industrial markets including manufacturing, oil gas, transportation and energy applications among other.
The award of the patent enhances and extends PCN's existing reach into the Industrial Internet communication markets with additional protections allowing it to move deeper into sensor, energy, renewable and smart grid markets.
