Liantec Systems Corporation announces the TBM-X2000 Tiny-Bus® 1U low profile 2-slot PCI Express / PCI extension module. Based on the embedded Tiny-Bus® modular extension solution, TBM-X2000 makes it possible to let the Mini-ITX small form factor platforms support optional dual PCI Express / PCI expansion slots within 1U or 1.75 inches of system height for the industrial low profile computing applications with dual PCIe/PCI add-on cards.

Because the limitation of space, the small form factor motherboards, such as mini-ITX and 5.25" drive-size EBX boards, can only support one expansion slot in 1U low profile systems. To meet this demand, TBM-X2000 offers dual expansion slots in 1U systems including optional TBM-X2000PE with one PCI and one x1 PCI Express slot, and TBM-X2000P2 with dual PCI slots. In spite of the 2-slot extension solution, TBM-X2000 is also integrated with onboard PCIe Intel Gigabit Ethernet, PCIe IEEE1394b FireWire 800 and PCIe MiniCard socket with external SMA connector for Wi-Fi antenna. With these features, TBM-X2000 will be the suitable solution for the system integrators to build the niche industrial computing platforms that feature low profile and small form factor enclosure with 2-slot of extension bus interfaces for industrial computing applications.
