Simplify DAQ with Channel/Gain, DIO D/A, and FIFO


A new series of PCI boards from CyberResearch® are ideal for
general-purpose data acquisition. Complete with automatic chan-
nel/gain queues, they store up to 2048 samples in on-board FIFO
buffers. Four 16-bit user counter/timers ease control problems,
and three 8-bit DIO ports enhance control and communication.

New RCP 1612 and 3212 data acquisition boards from CyberResearch, Inc., simplify data acquisition with a long list of features that are usually reserved for high-end applications. Two unusual and useful features are the 2048-sample A/D FIFO buffers and the 256-position A/D channel/gain
queue. Models with four 12-bit D/A channels are also available.

The three 8-bit digital I/O ports are uniquely flexible. Not only can each port can be configured as inputs or outputs, each port also supports hardwvare handshaking, strobe I/O, and bidirectional protocols.

Each board includes six 16-bit counter/timers. Two are used internally; four are available to users to measure frequency, count events, or measure speed. DIO and counter-timer signals are available on a 40-pin header. A/D and D/A signals are brought out to a 50-way SCSI Centronics connector on the backplate.
