High-Speed Analog Output with Feedback
Two new PCI analog output boards from CyberResearch, Inc. provide feedback lines that keep your system stable. PCIAO 04F8 offers 4 D/A lines with 8 A/D channels for feedback. PCIAO 08F4 has 8 D/As with 4 A/D feedback channels. Both boards have output speeds of 1 MSample/s and input speeds of 400 KSample/s.
Every engineer knows that feedback is essential to automatic control. Yet few industrial analog-output boards include analog-input lines that can feed back the results of the output commands. The CyberResearch® PCIAO boards eliminate the need for a separate A/D board, making it easy to bring 14-bit feedback right to the D/A board itself.
To maximize the usefulness of the feedback lines, these new boards operate at maximum speed, even with simultaneous inputs and outputs. To enhance accuracy, the boards calibrate themselves on command with your choice of an on-board ultra-stable reference voltage or an external reference.
Both input and output channels can be scanned in any order at the maximum data rate. Large FIFO buffers combine with scatter-gather bus-mastering DMA to make data storage easy.
