PCB Stacking Spacers help overcome space limitations.

Press Release Summary:

Male-female stacking spacers, available in nylon and aluminum, help overcome space limitations during installation of PC/104 and PC/104-plus embedded bus drives. Available with round and hexagonal profiles, products are precision-manufactured for fit, spacing circuit boards 0.6 in. apart to build structurally secure module stacks. Standalone spacers are 3/16 in. in dia, have 3/16 in. long 4-40 male thread on one end, and accept 4-40 thread screw on other end.

Stacking Spacers Help Overcome Space Limitations in PC/104 And PC/104-Plus Embedded Systems

SEYMOUR, CT - To help overcome space limitations that may occur during the installation of PC/104 and PC/104-plus embedded bus drives, designers use male-female stacking spacers from RAF Electronic Hardware. The spacers are available in nylon and aluminum, come in round and hexagonal profiles and are precision manufactured for a perfect fit.

With RAF stacking spacers, circuit boards are spaced exactly 0.6 inches apart to build structurally secure module stacks. The standalone stacks can be used like ultra-compact bus boards - but without the need for backplanes or bird cages. This way, system designers can easily assemble application-specific module stacks for their products.

The RAF hardware can be used with any of more than 100 different PC/104 ultra-compact bus board modules produced by manufacturers today.

RAF male-female stacking spacers are 3/16" in diameter, have a 3/16" long 4-40 male thread on one end, accept a 4-40 thread screw on the other end and have available mating screws and hex nuts in both nylon and aluminum materials.

All RAF electronic hardware is made in the firm's U.S. manufacturing and plating facility and is available through a worldwide network of authorized distributors.
