IPB Corporation Announces Availability of U.S. PATENTATLAS

SAN FRANCISCO, March 1 -- IPB Corporation has announced the initial release of its PATENTATLAS product covering U.S. patent filings. PATENTATLAS is a fully automated lexical patent analysis tool, which delivers rich analytical content from a minimum of user input. Users need only provide a U.S. patent number or application number, and PATENTATLAS will deliver a complete report within an hour. The system will also accept free textual input, for users wanting information on yet-unfiled technologies.

Using time-tested information retrieval techniques, PATENTATLAS scans its collection of over 6 million patents and published applications to find the 3,000 most similar in their usage of significant keywords. Important features of this group of comparables are presented in graphical and tabular format under groupings such as assignee, technology field, and keyword usage. Aging graphs indicate where on the technology life cycle a patent's comparables lie, and where that patent fits into the picture. Specifics on the 300 most closely related records are displayed in concise tabular format.

"Since the PATENTATLAS system is completely automated, users get reports quickly, at a price point considerably lower than using dedicated human patent searching professionals," said IPB Corporation Chairman Yoshihisa Ueno. "PATENTATLAS is not intended to replace the expertise of these patent searchers. We recommend using it as a first pass, so that their skills and resources can be more optimally targeted at the technologies that are truly deserving of them. We hope that managers, investors, patent holders, lawyers, brokers, consultants, and researchers can all find areas of interest and value in PATENTATLAS."

Special introductory pricing is being offered. Potential customers are invited to visit atlas.ipb-corporation.com/ for free samples and additional information.
