GAO RFID Asset Tracking Inc. Introduces New on-Metal Gen 2 RFID Tags

GAO RFID Asset Tracking Inc. offers a new standard of excellence through the release of its novel line of Gen 2 UHF RFID tags, which is available for harsh environment and suitable for on-metal tagging. These passive RFID tags set the bar in providing believable data transmission in requiring industry conditions such as changeable temperature and mechanical stress. The line of transponders includes the small and durable (IP68) Ironside, the cost effective Survivor, and the light-weight and enduring Halo.

The Ironside has an impressive reading range of eight meters (8m) at most on metal and it can easily be affixed to any surface of the metal mechanically or by using industrial adhesives. This small and fully encapsulated tag has been successfully used in asset tracking applications such as railway and warehousing solutions. This RFID tag triumphantly passed the rigorous testing requirements for Aerospace standard AS5678 specification.

The Survivor is another highly durable Class 1 Gen 2 hard tag, which is suitable for on-metal mounting, but it may be used on any surface. This long read-range passive tag offers the best performance-to-cost ratio in the industry. It has been successfully deployed in container applications and is a perfect solution adapting to track large and valuable assets such as vehicles and metal pipes.
