Particle Size Analyzer offers wet and dry measurement.
Press Release Summary:
Using optical system and single light source, SALD-3101 Laser Diffraction Particle Size Analyzer measures coarse or dense particles ranging from 0.05-3,000 µm. Sampler incorporates vertical radial pump with flow rate of 5,000 cm³/min to circulate particles. Optional SALD-DS21 Injection Type Dry Measurement Unit allows for switching between wet and dry samples. Users can choose from 3 types of injection nozzles and 3 types of sample sucking methods.
Original Press Release:
Laser Diffraction Particle Size Analyzer with Wet and Dry Measurement Capability
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments has introduced the SALD-3101 Laser Diffraction Particle Size Analyzer which is designed for measurement of coarse or dense particles and offers a variety of sampling options for both wet and dry samples. The new SALD-3101 is ideal for use in a variety of applications, including
pharmaceuticals, metals, minerals, civil engineering, and the environment. It seamlessly covers a wide measuring range from 0.05 to 3000 µm using a single measurement principle, a single optical system, and a single light source. The sampler incorporates a powerful vertical radial pump with a flow rate of 5000 cm³/minute to reliably circulate a range of particle sizes from microns to several millimeters.
Shimadzu's SALD-3101 can be equipped with the optional SALD-DS21 Injection Type Dry Measurement Unit for easy switching between wet and dry samples. Users can choose from three types of injection nozzles with different dispersion power and three types of sample sucking methods. Sucking devices include the turntable type for measurements that require large quantities of a sample, a one-shot type for measuring small quantities, and the handheld metering type with fine adjustment control.
