Particle Size Analysis Down to 0.015 µm

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments has introduced the new SALD-7001 Laser Diffraction Particle Size Analyzer which is designed for measurement of super fine particles. The SALD-7001 features a violet semiconductor laser (405 nm wavelength) and high sensitivity strategically placed photo sensors, which can detect wide-angle scattered light signals up to 60°. The measuring range of the SALD-7001 is 0.015 µm to 500 µm with excellent resolution in the submicrometer range.

The single-violet laser light source of the SALD-7001 coupled with a single optical system enables accurate size determination of super fine particles by laser diffraction method. For optimum sampling, the system offers a choice of a flow cell, batch cell or high concentration cell depending on application requirements.
