Even More Compact and Versatile- The New Insitec® Voyager from Malvern® Instruments

19 November 2007: Malvern, UK: With a refined user-friendly design, the new Insitec® Voyager from Malvern® Instruments is perfectly adapted for mobile particle size analysis within the process environment. Smaller and lighter than the original award-winning Insitec Voyager, it can be operated at- or on-line providing real-time analysis where and when required. It is an integral part of Malvern's successful consultancy service, used to demonstrate, in situ, the potential of continuous process analysis.

The design of the Insitec Voyager has evolved in response to solicited customer feedback and increasing demand for the consultancy service. Built for single person operation, the new unit is easily dismantled for transportation and can be assembled without the need for hand tools. It is simple to connect to the process, easy to clean and now has more communications options.

Insitec Voyager is a laser diffraction-based particle size analyzer for dry streams with particles in the size range 1 - 1000 microns. Its flexibility and mobility make it particularly suitable for production facilities with multiple lines and/or for commissioning, optimization and troubleshooting applications. Measuring particle size up to four times per second, Insitec Voyager provides a continuous stream of real-time data for optimal control and understanding.

Malvern Instruments offers a five-day consultancy package during which an Insitec Voyager is attached to the process line for continuous monitoring. This enables the process team to fully appreciate and evaluate the potential of on-line analysis. A Malvern expert remains at the site for the duration of the consultancy to maximize benefit. www.malvern.com
