Particle Counter/Monitor measures filter performance.

Press Release Summary:

Laser based C10/77 sensor system counts and displays particles that are 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20 and 200 microns in size. LED on front of counter allows operators to view current counts at any size, and to display differential counts for adjacent size channels. Applications include providing highly sensitive filter effluent measurement to detect spikes in particle levels that indicate filter problems in variety of potable water systems.

On-Line Particle Counter, Particle Monitor Measures Filter Performance

Analytical Technology has released a new particle monitoring system designed to provide a highly sensitive filter effluent measurement for potable water systems.

The C 10/77 Sensor is a laser based system that counts and displays particle at 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, and 200 microns in size. An LED display on the front of the counter allows operators to view the current counts at any size, and also to display differential counts for adjacent size channels. The counter is ideal for continuously monitoring the outlet of filter systems to detect spikes in particle levels that indicate filter problems. The instrument can be adapted to a variety of filter systems, and provides higher sensitivity than conventional turbidity measurement.

The C 10/77 counters employ a highly accurate laser-based optical system to insure reliable particle count measurements. A measuring cell design that allows for quick exchange of optical cells eliminates down time when cleaning is required, and an optional constant-head flow controller provides simple flow regulation. Three isolated and scaleable 4-20 mA outputs are provided for interface to PLC or computer systems, and a local alarm can be set for any desired size channel. In addition, an RS-232/485 serial interface allows communication directly to a PC running ATI's WaterTrack software.
