PARPRO Wins High Performance Video Transcoding Contract
Telecommunications Customer selects PARRPO for Both Design & Manufacturing of Video Transcoding Blade
SANTA ANA, CA, Monday, September 11th, 2017 - PARPRO (4916:TW), a full service Embedded Design Solutions and Manufacturing Services company has been awarded a new contract from an industry leading company in the Telecommunication and Broadcast sector to provide video transcoding blades for video streaming applications. This program will be in support of a Headend in the Sky (HITS) system with a video transcoding blade. The project scope includes both design and manufacturing of the custom blade with deliveries in 2017, with additional production orders expected to follow over the next several years.

Design work under this contract will be carried out at PARPRO Technologies, in Southern California in the same time zone as the customer, and will be manufactured at PARPRO’s Taiwan facility as a competitive production solution. Prototype and first article will be delivered in 2017 and full production will start in 2018. PARPRO’s engineering design team provide application-specific design and manufacturing services and are recognized as a key enabler of best-in-class products for high-capacity storage appliances and platforms, Software Defined Network (SDN) servers, top-of-rack switches and load balancing for Application Delivery Controllers (ADC) as well as wire-speed packet processing and line-rate deep packet inspection.
