Parker's PF Series Non-Spill Thermoplastic Couplings Safeguard the Transfer and Dispensing of Hazardous and Aggressive Chemicals

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — In light of rising concern over chemical contamination, Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, is now showcasing its PF Series non-spill thermoplastic chemical transfer couplings.  These dry disconnect quick couplings eliminate fluid loss upon disconnection for minimal environmental contamination.

Designed to meet requirements for closed system transfer of chemicals and other fluids, Parker PF Series couplings can be used with concentrated or diluted industrial chemicals, fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, or pesticides when transferring from bulk storage tanks, returnable containers, applicators, and more.  Applications include chemical dispensing systems, agriculture spray application equipment, intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), pulp and paper, sulfuric acid PH stabilization, industrial chemical transfer, and water systems.

Parker's Quick Couplings Division sells the push-to-connect couplings.  According to Business Unit Manager Mario Calvo, the PF Series couplings offer greater application versatility over competitive couplings.  "The Parker PF product line offers more sizes, more seal and spring materials, and the alternative of tank mounting, all of which make the couplings far more adaptable in the field," he said.  "These low pressure, high flow couplings are excellent for bulk transfer, and their push-to-connect, sleeve-operated design provides easy changeover with convenient, one-handed operation."

Parker PF Series couplings are manufactured in 1/2", 1", and 2" sizes.  They are available with fluorocarbon, EPDM, and Kalrez seals, as well as 316 and Hastelloy spring options.  A robust connection safeguards the transfer and dispensing of hazardous and aggressive chemicals with minimal spillage.
