Parker Bayside PV Series Gearhead Combines Power and Versatility

CHICAGO, OCT. 29, 2006 - Parker's Electromechanical Automation Division is pleased to announce the release of the PV Series gearbox.

Developed by Parker Bayside, the PV Series combines power and versatility by offering a wide assortment of output face options along with high radial load and output torque performance. The output face options offer choices that have the same output face dimensions as Parker Bayside's PX Series, Alpha's LP Series, Neugart's PLE Series, Stober's PE Series as well as standard NEMA output face dimensions, which give OEMs and end users an alternative, more cost-effective solution.

The superior design achieves high radial loads by using a full complement of taper roller bearings. This design aspect makes the PV ideal for conveyor, production machinery, pharmaceutical and commercial packaging, medical-device manufacturing, automotive and the most demanding belt and pulley applications. Additional design features include the PV Series motor input design.

The simplicity of mounting the PV Series is unsurpassed with its two-piece adapter/sleeve construction and the easy-to-access pinion clamp. With the existing Parker Bayside Stealth PS and PX, the addition of the PV Series makes Parker Bayside the only manufacturer of gearheads to offer full line choices by providing three specific tiers of high-, medium- and standard-gear performance.

The PV Series is available in six metric/NEMA frame sizes. NEMA sizes range from NEMA 17 to NEMA 34. Metric sizes range from 40 mm to 90 mm. The PV also has a large offering of standard ratios from 3:1 up to 100:1. All PV gearboxes are manufactured in Port Washington, NY, in our state-of-the-art facility.
