Paradigm to Highlight Its Latest Innovations at SEG 2013

Presentations will focus on enhancements to industry-leading geophysics applications as well as workflow improvements offering advanced science for everyone.

AMSTERDAM – Paradigm® (www.pdgm.com) will present its full portfolio of advanced software solutions for integrated oil and gas E&P workflows at the SEG 83rd Annual Meeting & Exposition in Houston, to be held September 22-25.  Conference attendees are invited to join Paradigm at Booth #2842 for daily live software demonstrations, featuring the newest innovations in seismic processing and imaging, interpretation, model building and characterization, including previews of the Paradigm 2014 release. The company will hold a media event on Monday, September 23, at 3:00 pm CST, where it will unveil its next-generation, interconnected, open platform, with automated workflows that deliver advanced science for everyone. The new platform will be introduced in the Paradigm 2014 release.

Many of the presentations at the Paradigm booth will use its soon-to-be-released Paradigm 2014 technology.  Paradigm 2014 introduces game-changing workflows for full-azimuth imaging, tomography, formation evaluation, stratigraphic interpretation, facies analysis and modeling.  It also offers solutions to the seismic interpretation correlation challenge in the presence of faults, and applications for the efficient characterization of shale resource plays.

Demonstrations will focus on the wide range of new and enhanced Paradigm technologies that help geoscientists gain the most from their data, including:

-  Advances in tomography for velocity model updating and time-to-depth conversion

-  New solutions for volumetric interpretation and volumetric 4D analysis

-  Global interpretation and modeling

-  Deriving anisotropic velocity models from in-situ angle domain data

-  Building and using sealed stratigraphic velocity models

-  Quantifying the impact of fault position uncertainty on hydrocarbon volume estimates and production forecasts

-  Using seismic attributes to discover new reservoirs

-  Enhanced functionality in Geolog®, including a special module for unconventional plays

-  Embedded, interactive well planning and geosteering for sweet spot optimization in unconventional plays

"We believe that exploration and development geoscientists will be pleasantly surprised by the evolution of our software and technology in these presentations," said Duane Dopkin, executive vice-president of Technology at Paradigm. "Our new release also advances our footprint in the unconventionals, with enhancements to our full-azimuth imaging and characterization, interpretation and modeling, and formation evaluation suites, for sweet spot identification.  Additionally, the unprecedented integration and interconnectivity provided with the Paradigm 2014 product suite are a big step towards our goal of delivering advanced science to everyone."

Paradigm Subject Matter Experts will be available for one-on-one demonstrations of specific workflows and software applications. The company will also be provide detailed private presentations of its next-generation platform and technologies. Paradigm, customers and technical experts will present their views on best practices using Paradigm solutions at the company's popular main theatre Lunch & Learn sessions. Paradigm will also have an active presence at the SEG technical program. For topics, abstracts and other details, please visit the Paradigm 2013 SEG event page.
