Designed and engineered through innovation to meet the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) standard at the 15-minute classification level (CAP1) for the latest protection in a variety of CBRN hazardous environments.



Glenn Dale, MD – IRT announces the release of their CBRN C420 PAPR Filter System, an innovated PAPR respiratory protection system that uses IRT’s globally recognized C420 blower and filter technology which ensures filtered breathing air. This system is ideal for use in military, law enforcement and first responder applications.



The new IRT CBRN C420 PAPR Filter System is ideal and highly versatile when needed to support long duration and CBRN mission personnel who face potential CBRN operations. This CBRN PAPR System combines IRT’s CBRN CAP 1 filter, a CBRN protective mask and C420 blower which, when used together, protects the user’s face, eyes and gastro-intestinal tract against known chemical and biological agents in aerosols, liquid and vapor form. This system has been certified to protect against Nerve, Blister, Blood and Riot control agents and many Toxic Industrial Chemicals (TICs)/ (TIMs) including but not limited to Organic vapors with a boiling point over 65 degree C, Hydrogen sulfide, Sulfur dioxide, Formaldehyde, Nitrogen dioxide, Phosphine, Phosgene and Ammonia. The particulate filter element meeting the requirements of NIOSH 42 CFR 84 P100 level is incorporated to protect against dusts, mists, biological agents and radiological dusts.
