AAEON Releases ACP-2153, the First Bezel-less 15" Fanless Panel PC for Non-Protruding/Sink-In Automation Displays
(Taipei, Taiwan) — AAEON, a leading industrial computing manufacturer, released today a new 15” multi-touch rugged panel computer: ACP-2153 for the aesthetically conscious home and factory automation clients. This panel PC features waterproof and 7H scratchproof glass covered borders, allowing panel installation to match the height of the surrounding walls simply by adjusting the panel mount brackets for different wall depths.
With a sleek and easy-to-clean design that supports wide operating temperature range of -20C ~ +60C, while offering high luminance of 400 cd/m2 and 9~30V DC input, the ACP-2153 is ideal for non-protruding or sink-in display requirements in Industrial Automation, Factory Automation, Smart Building, Home Automation, Utility and Energy applications.
The ACP-2153 is a 15” 2-point multi-touch HMI Touch Panel Computer and employs Intel® Atom™ D2550 1.86GHz processor with built-in passive cooling. This fanless panel computer provides up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, two Gigabit Ethernets for speedy internet access, a mini PCIe card slot for expansion and offers abundant storage via a 2.5” SATA HDD or CFast™. In addition, ACP-2153 features two USB2.0 ports, three COM ports, one Line-out and one VGA port for interface options. With resolution of 1024x768 and a responsive projective capacitive touch display, the ACP-2153 offers vivid display and ease of operation for its users.Â

Furthermore, whenever customers choose Microsoft® Windows® platform, they can easily create their own user interface without additional coding, simply by downloading the AAEON-developed Hi-Safe program. AAEON offers customization services for system developers and supports all common operating systems such as Windows® XP, Windows® 7and Linux Fedora.Â
Status Monitoring using Hi-Safe
AAEON Hi-Safe is a free and powerful hardware-based program geared toward SDKs for UIs running Microsoft® Windows® Operating systems. It provides an easy way to develop the end user’s own UI software to monitor vital system information such as those for the processor, RAM and VGA. It monitors received data from the Super I/O, fan, temperature and voltage, offers configuration options for Digital I/O pin direction and data, provides watchdog timer and fan speed settings, SMBus base address detection and device ID settings, optional monitoring of UPS data information and offers two modes for backlight display control if one uses the LVDS interface. Based on the user interface SDK, no coding is needed and customers can create their own customized user interface by downloading the function codes provided by AAEON.
