Sunlight Readable Panel Meters

YORK, Pennsylvania, July 2002 - Red Lion introduces a new feature to its award winning PAX panel meters - a sunlight readable red display. Combining the new display with the added feature of user programmable variable intensity, creates a meter that operates equally well in a dark room or in a bright sunlight environment.

The PAX panel meters, with models for both analog and digital inputs, use a bright .56" high, red LED display which is completely viewable in direct sunlight. The variable intensity allows the user to select one of 16 levels of intensity to suit their specific application. The intensity as well as the rest of the PAX programming can be locked-out, protecting the unit from any unwanted changes. A front panel button or rear terminal user input can be programmed to allow quick access to the intensity adjustment.

The PAX panel meter analog models are available with inputs for AC and DC Voltage/Current, Process, Strain Gage/Load Cells, and Temperature Meters. The digital models include Counters, Rate Indicators, and Timer/Real Time Clocks. Optional plug-in cards can provide setpoint outputs, analog outputs, and communications, making the PAX extremely versatile. The communications options now include RS232/RS485, MODBUS, DeviceNet(TM), and PROFIBUS-DP, allowing the PAX panel meters to become part of the plant operating system.
