The PN650 is designed to tackle a variety of applications such as joist hangers, framing, fencing, moldings, dowels, landscaping spikes, carpet tack strips, and even automotive body work. Porter-Cable's new 6-1/2" palm nailer kit offers four nose tips, which are used interchangeably depending on the application. The tips include: (1) a non-marring finish tip for finish nails up to 3d; (2) a magnetic tip for common nails between 3d and 16d; (3) a standard tip for common nails up to 70d; and (4) a steel hammer tip for moldings, dowels, and automotive repair. Touting a multi-bow action (2,300 BPM's @ 100 psi), the PN650 drives nails through a series of continuous blows. Once the nail reaches the desired depth, a fluctuating piston disengages to stop driving the nail. Packed with plenty of power, this unit features a depth of drive control that is adjusted simply by unscrewing the tip, removing the stacked washers inside, and placing the tip back on the nailer. Weighing only three pounds, the model PN650 offers superior comfort to minimize user fatigue. Also, the kit includes a durable padded glove for added comfort and precise control.
