Columbia/Okura System Palletizes Bags Weighing Up to 100 lbs.

Columbia/Okura introduces a robotic palletizing system specifically designed to handle heavy bags.

Running at speeds up to 15+ bags per minute, the system is designed to palletize large bags that can weigh up to 100 lbs., which are often hard to handle by production personnel.

The standard end effector stacks product in very square loads, and can handle hundreds of different bag types and sizes, from 3" to 12" tall. It is also capable of placing tie, slip and cap sheets on the load.

The system can provide a short payback on investment by reducing insurance costs, back injuries and labor costs. The robot's dependable, clean-design construction minimizes dust trap points, ensures minimal maintenance and less production down time.

Columbia/Okura LLC is jointly owned by Columbia Machine and Japan's Okura Yusoki, two companies with over 100 years of combined material-handling experience. Customer service and parts
support is located in the USA.
