Alvey Systems Unveils New Pallet Load Stacker

(St. Louis, Missouri: August 12, 2002) Alvey Systems (www.alvey.com), an FKI Logistex (LSE: FKI.L) member company and leading integrator of material and information flow solutions, announces the introduction of its new Alvey Pallet Load Stacker. The Alvey Pallet Load Stacker, which allows for the automatic inline stacking of full or partial pallet loads, eliminates the need for manual pallet stacking and creates significant opportunities for space saving in trucking, cargo shipping, and warehousing.

Developed for use in the consumer goods industry, the Alvey Pallet Load Stacker is designed to be installed downstream of a palletizer. Its rugged design and tubular steel frame construction enables individual pallet loads to pass through or be lifted and held to be stacked on other pallet loads in the automated unit load handling system.

The Alvey Pallet Load Stacker's features include a one-minute stacking cycle; 3500 lbs. maximum load lift; a four-corner chain lift design which eliminates the need for hydraulics; and a floor-accessible drive that allows for easy maintenance. Capable of being fitted into an existing conveyor system or built as part of an initial conveyor install, the Alvey Pallet Load
Stacker utilizes stacking technology and design pioneered by Alvey Systems. The Alvey Pallet Load Stacker additionally makes use of the heavy-duty design and construction techniques found in Alvey's other palletizing and conveying equipment.

"This is an industrial workhorse," says Mike Hale, product manager, unit handling, for Alvey Systems. "We've designed the Alvey Pallet Load Stacker to work in the 24/7 environment
that our customers operate in."
