February 4, 2005. Louisville, KY Airguard, a manufacturer of air filtration for industrial and commercial environments, has developed a paint arrestor media that is 99%+ efficient for a wide range of paints, coatings and glazes.
Stackguard® incorporates fiber glass media for high paint holding capacity with a polyester backing for high particulate efficiency. This high-performing collection media holds 35 times its weight in paint particulate overspray - and has a tensile strength three times higher than paper-backed medias, per ASTM #D-1682.
2" Stackguard has a clean resistance to airflow of .02 at 100 fpm or .30 at 500 fpm. 4" Stackguard has a clean resistance to aiflow of .05 at 100 fpm and .52 at 500 fpm. Both are sold in rolls or pads, in widths from 20" to 60." Airguard's compression packaging produces substantial savings in freight, storage space and handling costs compared to synthetic backed paper medias.
