Paddlewheel Flow Sensor works with pipe sizes from 3-40 in.

Press Release Summary:

Available in brass, PVC, or stainless steel, Series IPFS (Insertion Paddlewheel Flow Sensor) includes hot tap model with bronze or stainless steel valve assembly. Bearings are made from ruby jewel to reduce coefficient of friction and maintain accuracy. Rotation of impeller is used to measure flow, and various saddle fittings come in iron or brass. Compatible with clean liquids, series suits chemical proportioning applications or applications with rapidly changing fluid conductivity.

Original Press Release:

NEW! Series IPFS Paddlewheel Flow Sensor

Dwyer Instruments, Inc., the preferred source for your complete range of practical and affordable instrumentation, is announcing the release of its NEW SERIES IPFS INSERTION PADDLEWHEEL FLOW SENSOR.

The Series IPFS Insertion Paddlewheel Flow Sensor is a Paddlewheel Flow Sensor available for pipe sizes ranging from 3’’ to 40’’ and available in brass, PVC or stainless steel. The Series IPFS has an available hot tap model with a bronze or stainless steel valve assembly. The bearings are made from ruby jewel to reduce the coefficient of friction and maintain high accuracy. The Series IPFS comes with a variety of saddle fittings that come in iron or brass. The Series IPFS is good for large pipe and clean water applications. It is ideal for chemical proportioning applications or any applications with rapidly changing fluid conductivity. The IPFS uses the rotation of an impeller to measure flow. Liquid flow pushes the rotor and the rotation is detected by a Hall-effect sensor. The output is a current sinking pulse signal which can be connected to the Series RTI to display flow rate and total or the Series BAT for a 4 to 20 mA signal conversion.

The Series IPFS is compatible with clean liquids and suitable for applications such as cooling water monitoring, aquariums, and waterparks. This meter is highly suitable for chemical proportioning or applications with rapidly changing liquid conductivity.
