Sealed Air's NewAir I.B.(TM) 200 Inflatable Packaging System Provides High Performance Cushioning on Demand
Saddle Brook, N.J. (May 25, 2005) - Sealed Air's newest addition to its inflatable packaging line, the NewAir I.B.(TM) 200 inflatable packaging system, is a revolutionary, cost-efficient inflatable cushioning solution designed to increase productivity and free up valuable warehouse space.
The NewAir I.B.(TM) 200 system is fast, flexible and all electric. The packaging system automatically inflates and dispenses ¾-inch height patented Barrier Bubble® cushioning material, providing superior protection when compared to lofted paper packaging. The Barrier Bubble® material retains more than 95 percent of its original thickness* and absorbs 60 percent more of the transmitted shock after three drops from 30 inches than lofted paper packaging. An auto-replenishment sensor keeps portable storage bins filled for on-demand packaging. It dispenses 21 square feet of inflatable cushioning per minute and does not require a dedicated operator.
The system is offered with three dispensing options. The on-line dispensing control allows an operator to use a foot pedal to regulate the amount of inflatable air cellular cushioning dispensed in on-line applications. The bulk transfer dispensing arm increases accumulation of NewAir I.B.(TM) cushioning material to 253 square feet in one production cycle, filling a bulk storage bin. The roll winder makes 36-inch diameter bundles of air cellular cushioning material, on site and on demand.
Measuring 38 inches long, 32.5 inches wide and 61 inches high, the footprint of the NewAir I.B.(TM) 200 packaging system allows it to fit within any packaging operation.
*Original thickness is defined as the thickness of materials as measured under a nominal 0.20-psi load.
