P-F Straightwell Tool System Helps Techs Save Time, Make More Money

WEST BOYLSTON, MA  -- The Straightwell Tool System from Porter-Ferguson can help body repair techs repair damaged areas in a fraction of the time that conventional techniques would require.

Designed primarily for wheel well, quarter panel, and fender repair, the system comprises a number of pulling tools both curved and flat in either single or double channel models. The primary use of the curved tools is to grasp curved wheel wells and the radius of these tools is easily tightened or loosened with a hammer to ensure conformity to the work area. The flat tools have straight pulling channels for grasping flat and wide pulling surfaces and can also be used in applications such as straightening radiator core mounts. There are two types of channels: the smaller original depth and a larger heavy depth.

The Straightwell System is extremely versatile. In addition to wheelwells and quarter panels, it can also be used to pull minor damage on bumpers, taillight or headlight housings, or anywhere else there is a pinch weld.

In use, a tech engages the appropriate Straightwell tool onto a pinch weld in a non-damaged area that is adjacent to the area to be repaired, attaches the pulling equipment, and applies tension. The tech then hammers the tool through the damage, adjusting the pulling source and pulling tension as necessary. When used without tensioning, the tool acts as a smoothing iron, greatly reducing the finishing labor and time associated with this kind of work.

Straightwell tools are 100% made in USA and come with a lifetime warranty against defects in material and workmanship, subject to normal usage, wear and tear.
