P&S Shim-Lock Wins Innovation Award
Syracuse, NY, October 25, 2007 - Electrical Contracting Products magazine recognized Pass & Seymour/Legrand (P&S), a leading manufacturer of electrical wiring devices and home systems, as a 2007 INNOVATION Award Winner. P&S's Shim-Lock won in the award category for "Electrical Fixtures, Small."
The prestigious program recognizes outstanding companies whose products or services have best responded to electrical contractors' market challenges by offering creative and innovative ideas.
Divided into 18 product categories, the nearly 160 entries were judged by a distinguished panel of professional electrical contractors from across the nation. Criteria included:

P&S Shim-Lock is designed to mount devices flush in oversized drywall, tile and panel wall applications. The Shim-lock fastens onto the screw in the mounting slot of an electrical wiring device or lighting control strap. Once the screw is tightened to the desired depth, the Shim-lock's tabs lock it in place flush with the wall to eliminate a floating installation in any residential or commercial device application.
Ceremonies for the INNOVATION Awards were held Oct. 6 in San Francisco, Calif., at the 2007 National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) Show. Winners received crystal awards recognizing their achievements in meeting the needs of the $82 billion electrical contracting market.
