Oyster Superclean Valve
The Oyster Superclean Valve has been developed for use in applications with Clean In Place technology. With the butterfly valves currently on the market, the shaft which controls the vane movement passes through a hole in the gasket; in the area around this hole the vane is constantly in tight contact with the gasket, and therefore during CIP procedures there is a risk of traces of product remaining trapped in this space.
The Oyster Superclean Valve avoids this problem by mounting the vane on an inclined shaft. This means the shaft does not pass through the gasket and as a result of the geometry of this arrangement, the points of contact between the vane and the gasket move around the rim of the gasket as the valve is opened. This allows for a perfect washing of both vane and gasket during CIP, as there is no fixed point of contact.
The valve contains no recesses with hard-to-clean corners and requires no special tools.
The Oyster Superclean valve is suitable for handling: Powders, Granules, Gels or Liquids.
