Oxygen Analyzer handles samples up to 135°C.

Press Release Summary:

Designed to complement 2200 Series process oxygen analyzers, 2200H transmitter withstands sample temperatures up to 135°C, eliminating need to condense hot sample prior to analysis. It measures oxygen content from 0-100% with response time of less than 4 sec. Approved for use in ATEX category 2 applications, transmitter is certified intrinsically safe and sealed to IP66/NEMA 4X. Up to six 2200H transmitters can be linked to single Servomex 2200 control unit.

Oxygen Analyser Now Handles Samples up to 135°C

Servomex Group is pleased to announce the introduction of its unique 2200H 135°C transmitter, which complements the current range of 2200 Series process oxygen analysers. The new transmitter is suitable for use with sample temperatures up to 135°C offering real savings in installation, operating and maintenance costs for the sampling system by eliminating the need to condense the hot sample prior to analysis.

Furthermore, readings are more accurate, as the measurement is made on the sample, without it being handled in any way. Another feature that sets the Servomex 2200H transmitter apart from competitive products is its intrinsic safety certification; with no need for a safety purge, the analyser costs less to install and operate, whether it is used in a new installation or as a replacement.

Fully approved for use in ATEX category 2 applications, the T3-rated Servomex 2200H is certified as flameproof to EExd and intrinsically safe to Ex ia. It also has IECEx certification and FM (Factory Mutual) approvals, and CSA (Canadian Standards Association) approvals are expected to be granted imminently. Additionally, the new model is sealed to IP66/NEMA 4X, and conforms with the requirements of EN 50104 (Electrical apparatus for the detection and measurement of oxygen. Performance requirements and test methods).

The Servomex 2200H transmitter measures oxygen content from 0 to 100% with a response time of less than four seconds. Accuracy and repeatability are excellent and of the same high standard as the already proven current range.

Thanks to the characteristics of the fast, rugged, non-depleting paramagnetic sensor cell, zero drift is an extremely low 0.08% per week for the latest model, so calibration is typically only required every three months - which helps to minimise the operating cost.

An auto-calibration facility also reduces the cost-of-ownership, and the unit's intuitive, multi-language text interface requires almost no training to use.

Up to six Servomex 2200H transmitters can be linked to a single Servomex 2200 control unit, or any combination of Servomex 2200 and 2200H transmitters can be controlled simultaneously. A single twisted-pair cable is all that is needed to link each transmitter to the control unit, with a maximum range of 1000m; electrical aspects of the installation are therefore both quick and easy. Users can opt to use a digital or analogue output signal from the control unit, which can, alternatively, be installed on a Modbus fieldbus network. An additional option for the 2200H is an internal flow alarm.

Typical applications for the Servomex 2200H oxygen analyser include those where it is necessary or desirable to keep products with a dew point of up to 125°C in the vapour phase. For example, the Servomex 2200H can be used to measure O2 in flare gases, regenerator gas from FCCUs (fluidised catalytic cracker units), sewage sludge, PTA (purified terephthalic acid) plants, propylene oxide and solvent recovery systems.
