Siemens introduces complete line of solid-state overload relays SIRIUS 3RB10 line from 0.1A to 630A

ALPHARETTA, Ga., Jan. 15, 2002 - Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc., today introduced a new extended range family of solid-state overload relays. The new Sirius 3RB10 line of reliable solid-state overload relays is now available in ranges from 0.1A to 630A.

The 3RB10 compact overload can be attached to a Sirius 3R contactor to make a starter or operate as a stand-alone unit. The device is available in class 10 or class 20 trip class with a manual/automatic reset or manual reset only. The 3RB10 is self-powered with current transformers integrated into the design. Installation is simplified because there is no need for additional control wiring.

The 3RB10 has a 4:1 ratio on the current setting, enabling one device to cover a wide range of currents. The 3RB10 also features phase loss protection, tripping within three seconds upon detection of a phase loss. There is no power loss or heat build up because the 3RB10 does not use heaters. Borrowing from the modularity concept of the Sirius 3R contactors, the 3RB10 can share most accessories from the smallest size to the largest.
