Ovec Handrail Project

Architectural Alliance based in Columbus, Ohio, was looking for a lower cost, low-maintenance aluminum railing system for the new OVEC (Ohio Valley Electric Cooperative) building in Piketon, Ohio. These photos show the handrail system they selected - Hollaender's Interna-Rail® component aluminum handrail system. This system, consisting of anodized aluminum slip-on fittings and pipe with stainless steel fasteners, was delivered pre-fabricated from the plant, and was extremely easy to install. This combination of materials ensures the lowest possible maintenance, especially compared to welded galvanized steel. A two-line railing system was selected for exterior applications, and an infill panel system using wire mesh panels was selected for the interior stairs. Both exterior and interior systems were installed on time and within budget.
