Product Description: Design ZAV-24 luminaires are characterized by a vertically-oriented upright cylindrical lamphead with a broad, conical canopy affixed to the midpoint of the fixture.
The cylindrical lamphead has vandal-resistant solid metal ends and die-cast rectangular openings above the canopy. These lend a design aesthetic reminiscent of a traditional European outdoor lantern. The newly die-cast canopy directs most emitted light downward. All edges of the Design ZAV-24 are rounded to resist dirt or debris build-up, reducing maintenance.
Design ZAV-24 is illuminated by high-pressure sodium or metal halide lamp sources, in a range of wattages. Ballasts are rated to -20° F for reliable operation in virtually any environment. An optional integral spectral metal computer enhanced reflector system of stacked internal louvers provides a symmetrical lighting distribulion pattern with an effective projected area. A thermal- and shock-resistant polycarbonate lens protects the lamp from water and debris infiltration and reduces glare. Opal lens standard, clear lens provided for louvers. Design ZAV-24 fixtures are UL and CUL listed for wet locations.
Construction & Finishes: The Design ZAV-24 housing and canopy are constructed of durable die-cast aluminum. The thermal- and shock-resistant non-yellowing opal polycarbonate lens is secured to the housing with tamperproof stainless steel screws. Textured polyester powdercoat paint is electrostatically applied following a five-step pretreatment process that includes iron phosphate priming for long term coating adhesion. Paint finishes meet or exceed all AAMA requirements for a 1,000-hour salt-spray test. Standard finish color is black; bronze, white, silver, gray and custom colors available upon request.
