Otto Container Management Rolls Out First CNG Truck
CHARLOTTE, NC – Otto Environmental Systems North America, Inc. has purchased its first compressed natural gas (CNG) truck. This truck will find its home at the Otto Container Management, LLC operations center for the City of Augusta, Georgia. "Otto Container Management is excited to continue its participation in the diversification of sustainable efforts through use of environmentally-friendly equipment. The implementation of our first CNG truck is the next step in progressing as a sustainable leader in our industry," said Kenn Budlong, Vice President of Service.
Otto has ordered an additional four CNG trucks which will be utilized at the Otto Container Management, LLC operations center in Moreno Valley, California. Otto is proud to be part of the waste and recycling industry movement to build CNG fleets that are beneficial for our environment as well as our economy. CNG trucks have a variety of advantages that include reducing exhaust emissions, decreasing fuel costs and providing safety through the use of carbon fiber fuel tanks and protective cages.
CNG trucks will be utilized in Otto’s container management division, which provides tailored solutions to the container activity needs of private waste haulers and municipalities, regardless of container manufacturer. The truck will service operations including container delivery and removal from resident homes, curbside container maintenance, as well as additional services to include assembly & distribution projects (A&D), route audits, and container re-branding efforts.
