OSRAM SYLVANIA to Unveil Latest Lighting That Leads at LIGHTFAIR 2013

PHILADELPHIA and DANVERS, Mass.– North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA is showcasing a comprehensive selection of advanced lighting products and technologies that span the entire lighting value chain at Booth #1001 at LIGHTFAIR® International 2013, the world's largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference taking place April 23 - 25 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a leader in the lighting industry, the company is dedicated to products and services that benefit businesses, address economic needs, and protect our environment today and in the future while reducing on-going operating costs for customers with quality, high efficiency, long life lighting solutions. OSRAM SYLVANIA has a comprehensive portfolio of lighting products, turn-key solutions and experts to assist customers with all their lighting needs.

"We are lighting experts who understand the value of innovative and quality lighting that inspires. OSRAM is a synonym for quality and light. Light is OSRAM," said Rick Leaman, president CEO, OSRAM SYLVANIA. "The lighting industry is changing and so are OSRAM and OSRAM SYLVANIA to better meet our customers' demands and to shape the digital future of the lighting industry."

OSRAM SYLVANIA will be launching several product innovations for a variety of lighting applications. These include: indoor and outdoor LED luminaires with integrated controls; outdoor luminaires with 100+ lumens per watt (LPW); LED lamps with wireless controls and incandescent-like dimming capabilities; industry-leading traditional lighting solutions, such as T8 fluorescent lamps with up to 84,000 hours average rated life; and the first fully programmable, constant-current LED power supply. In addition, the company will preview an LED luminaire that incorporates a unique, open reflector, indirect optic design that provides high-quality, soft, diffuse light and minimizes glare, and offers high efficacy up to 90 LPW.

With controls becoming increasingly more important in today's commercial market, attendees will see addressable lighting control systems like the ENCELIUM® Energy Management System, which offer huge payback by providing more real-time energy data and opportunities for greater long-term savings over that of simple controls.

Exclusively at Booth #1001, attendees can learn from some of the leading industry experts from OSRAM SYLVANIA about the trends and issues impacting their businesses and the future of lighting. Session topics include: legislation and regulation impact, controls as a critical part of lighting design; the implementation of DC microgrids in commercial buildings; and a look inside of OSRAM's technological innovations. Additionally, several top OSRAM SYLVANIA experts will be presenting at several LIGHTFAIR conference sessions.

At the OSRAM SYLVANIA booth, LIGHTFAIR attendees can enter for a chance to win a trip for two, which will include airfare and accommodations, to the September SYLVANIA 300, one of the final ten races in the "Chase for the NASCAR® Sprint Cup" at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The event has historically been one of the highest rated NASCAR events on national television.

The breadth of innovations from the entire OSRAM family of brands, including OSRAM SYLVANIA, OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, Traxon Technologies and ENCELIUM®, will appear at LIGHTFAIR International 2013.
