OSI Systems' elance Patient Monitors Selected for Chilean Miner Special Care Unit


HAWTHORNE, Calif. - OSI Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: OSIS), a vertically-integrated provider of specialized electronic products for critical applications in the Security and Healthcare industries, today announced that its Spacelabs Healthcare division's elance(TM) line of patient monitors played a vital role following the rescue of the 33 Chilean miners who were trapped underground for 69 days. The multidisciplinary team providing care for the miners used the elance patient monitors to track the vital signs of the miners during their stay in Chile's Hospital de Copiapo.
