LeCroy Introduces AudioBus Trigger, Decode and Graph Test Solutions for I2S, LJ, RJ, and TDM Audio Bus Standards

The Only Trigger Decode and Graph Solution for Serial Audio to Display Converted Digital Audio Channel Data as an Analog Wave Form

CHESTNUT RIDGE, N.Y., July 10 /-- LeCroy Corporation's new serial AudioBus Trigger, Decode, and Graph packages provide all the tools needed to precisely analyze and debug the Inter-IC-Sound bus (I2S), a serial interface developed for digital audio. Immediately available for use with the powerful WaveRunner Xi and WaveSurfer Xs oscilloscope platforms, LeCroy's AudioBus decode enables the unique View Audio feature that converts the digitally encoded serial data audio signal to an analog waveform display. This provides the engineer with an intuitive way to understand circuit problems that cause clipping, glitches, and other anomalies in the audio circuit, as well as to see the effects of the audio signal before Digital Signal Processing (DSP). View Audio can be performed for up to four audio channels for conventional Left/Right audio, or home cinema applications (enabled by time division multiplexed audio buses.)

AudioBus uses color-coded overlays on various sections of the protocol decode for a visual display that is easy to understand. This feature, exclusive to LeCroy, is intuitive for experienced audio engineers; and especially useful for users new to the I2S, LJ, RJ, or TDM Audio Bus standards. In addition, decode information condenses or expands depending on the timebase/zoom ratio setting, simplifying both routine verification and complex troubleshooting. Engineers can choose to decode into Hex, Binary, Decimal, or dB formats.

The AudioBus trigger can be configured for I2S, LJ, or RJ variants. Powerful conditional triggering can be applied to either left or right channel data, while unique triggers like mute, clip and glitch help to isolate rare problems not easily detected by viewing decoded data alone. In addition, AudioBus turns the oscilloscope into a protocol analyzer with a customizable table display of protocol information which can be exported as an Excel file.

The AudioBus TDG (Trigger, Decode and Graph) package is immediately available for the WaveRunner oscilloscope platform for $1,995. The AudioBus TD (Trigger and Decode) package is immediately available for the WaveRunner and WaveSurfer oscilloscope platforms for $1,345. The View Audio Waveform capability is enabled with the TDG option only.
