Line Of Orbital Weld Heads Weld Pipe 'In Place'

Magnatech has redesigned their Redhead weld head line to be used with a new generation of digital power sources. The Redhead line consists of three weld heads designed for orbital welding of pipe/tubes from 0.5" (12mm) to 6.625" (168mm).

The Redheads can be used for autogenous welding application or with an optional wire feeder. A mechanical device maintains a constant arc length on out-of-round pipes.

The design incorporates continuously adjustable clamping. The weld heads are simply inserted over the tube to be welded and clamped by actuating a lever, requiring only 5 seconds. All clamping components are steel and impervious to temperature damage.

The weld heads mount only on one side of the weld joint, allowing pipe-to-fitting welds, as well as pipe-to-pipe butt welds.

The Redheads are used with the new digital Tubemaster Power Source.
