Oracle Previews JD Edwards World A9.1


Significant Enhancements in Latest Release Intended to Support Complex Business Operations for Oracle's JD Edwards World Customers

NEW YORK, Jan. 31 // -- Today at Oracle's (NASDAQ:ORCL) global "Applications Unlimited" launch held on 6 continents over 24 hours, Oracle previewed Oracle's JD Edwards World A9.1, the World Renaissance Release. As a proof point to Oracle's "Application Unlimited" program, the new JD Edwards World release is expected to offer enhanced functionality including upgrade tools and processes and to provide customers with compliance support, operational excellence, technology improvements and capabilities for global operations to better meet the critical needs of its installed customers.

Developed for the IBM System i business computing platform, JD Edwards World A9.1 continues Oracle's relationship with IBM. Developers from Oracle and the IBM System i division coordinated efforts throughout the development cycle to optimize performance of A9.1 on System i.

JD Edwards World A9.1 is scheduled to be available for traditional deployment, and on demand via Oracle On Demand.
