Oracle® Fusion Middleware Certified with Latest Releases of Oracle Applications

Certification Enables Customers to Extend the Value of Their Applications Investments While Transitioning to New Product Releases

NEW YORK, Jan. 31 // -- Today at Oracle's (NASDAQ:ORCL) global "Applications Unlimited" event held on 6 continents over 24 hours, Oracle announced that Oracle(R) Fusion Middleware is certified with the latest releases of the Oracle Applications portfolio, including Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle's JD Edwards, PeopleSoft and Siebel products. The certification enables customers and partners to more easily integrate, access, analyze, secure and manage all of Oracle's existing applications and builds on the company's commitment to helping organizations extend the value of their applications investments.

Oracle Fusion Middleware's certification with the latest release of Oracle's applications will enable IT and business users to benefit from tighter integration, a common architecture and management framework and lower total cost of ownership for their applications and middleware investments. The company's family of best-in-class, standards-based middleware software -- Oracle Fusion Middleware -- delivers a wide array of business-critical middleware products such as Oracle Application Server, Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Business Process Analysis Suite, Oracle Identity and Access Management, Oracle Service Delivery Platform and Oracle WebCenter Suite. Using components of Oracle Fusion Middleware with current and future releases of Oracle's applications, organizations can achieve a variety of benefits including an easier transition to a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), enhanced business insight, tighter security and improved compliance.

Foundation for the Future

Oracle Fusion Middleware is consistently cited as a leader in the industry and Oracle SOA Suite, a key component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, recently received InfoWorld magazine's top rating, "Excellent," for a product review in the Jan. 22, 2007, issue. Reviewer James Borck praised the software's "top notch governance, business rules, security and business activity monitoring," along with its "ease of implementation and affordability," calling the Suite "hands down, the most comprehensive and easy to use product on the market today for effectively developing and securing most services-based architectures."

Today, Oracle Fusion Middleware is certified with the latest Oracle Applications releases including: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 and Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.12, PeopleSoft Enterprise 9 and Siebel 8 products. Oracle Fusion Middleware is designed to help organizations currently using Oracle Applications to more easily migrate to future releases by helping them adopt standards, retire customizations and hard-coded integration points, develop the appropriate skill-sets and adopt a more flexible SOA.

"The certification of Oracle Fusion Middleware with Oracle Applications provides our customers with a unique advantage," said Vijay Tella, vice president and chief strategy officer, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle. "Organizations deploying new or previous releases of Oracle Applications can use Oracle Fusion Middleware to seamlessly extend the business value of their applications today -- implementing cross-application business flows, delivering better business insight and helping make better business decisions using information from across the enterprise and protecting sensitive information to mitigate risk and ease compliance without disrupting business operations."

Benefiting Partner Ecosystem

This certification benefits Oracle's partner ecosystem, spanning System Integrators, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Value-Added Resellers and Value-Added Distributors. Using Oracle Fusion Middleware, partners can more rapidly develop strategic, repeatable solutions linking Oracle Applications with other custom and packaged applications, helping decrease resources typically spent on development. Additionally, ISVs who certify their applications with Oracle Fusion Middleware will be poised to deliver pre-integrated points into Oracle applications, helping reduce the barriers to entry for customers.
