Oracle Announces New Business Accelerators for State and Local Government

ORACLE OPENWORLD, SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 14 -- Designed for U.S. State and Local Government sectors, Oracle today announced the availability of Oracle® Business Accelerators for the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12. With this announcement, Oracle is enabling partners to efficiently and cost-effectively design and configure Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 implementations that address the unique challenges and requirements facing state and local government agencies today.

Oracle Business Accelerators provide tools, wizards and workflows, specific to industries and product lines, which give Oracle partners the ability to perform rapid, best-practice implementations. The new Oracle Business Accelerators offer 42 business flows across 36 applications within the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12. Partners can leverage these online, hosted tools to complete implementations that include specific functionality for the public sector in the areas of financial management, human resources, supply chain, service delivery and maintenance and project management.

"We're excited about the new Oracle Business Accelerators for the latest release of the Oracle E-Business Suite," said Solbourne Director of Consulting, Joe Kuntner. "Our public sector customers have gained significant value from solutions created using Oracle Accelerators and we look forward to leveraging this new functionality to help our state and local customers improve performance and operational efficiency."

Interactive questionnaires within the Oracle Business Accelerators for State and Local Government help partners address specific customer requirements and provide additional flexibility for implementations. Partners are enabled to more easily deliver low-cost Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 implementations with such capabilities as:

o Comprehensive budget-based financial management including automated payment control and internal / external reporting, plus comprehensive asset management;
o Internet sourcing and workflow-driven procurement execution;
o Human capital management including internet recruiting, and total
compensation management;
o Multi-channel service, integrated 311 capability, and case management.

"Oracle Business Accelerators deliver real competitive advantage to our state and local government customers, who are under growing pressure to control IT costs, manage limited resources and enhance productivity," said Kevin Curry, group vice president of public sector applications sales, Oracle. "The online hosted approach allows our partners to begin projects without waiting for hardware, and the Accelerator setup tool configures an Oracle E-Business Suite Release on-the-fly in days or even hours, rather than weeks -- allowing state and local agencies to more quickly implement applications that help them streamline operations and improve constituent service."
