Option Adds Unlimited Connection to Telenor's Mobile Broadband Service

BARCELONA, Spain, February 11 -- Option (Euronext: OPTI) (OPNVY), the wireless technology company, today announced that Telenor has incorporated its Unlimited Connection software in Mobilt Bredband, the Norwegian operator's mobile broadband service.
Unlimited Connection is the mobile-IP seamless handover solution from Option that enables laptops to switch automatically and seamlessly between mobile broadband - whether delivered over HSPA, UMTS or EDGE - and WiFi hot-spots or DSL to deliver the highest possible connection speeds to customers.
Telenor is implementing the Unlimited Connection at group level with the intention of making the advanced mobile broadband service in Norway available to affiliates worldwide, with imminent launches in Sweden and Denmark. From the second quarter of 2008, Telenor will also add Option's iCON 225 USB wireless modem to its Mobilt Bredband range of devices.
Telenor launched mobile broadband over 3G UMTS in June 2007 and upgraded to 3.6 Mbps "Turbo 3G" HSDPA in November. With the help of Unlimited Connection, Mobilt Bredband now integrates Telenor's HSPA, DSL and extensive WiFi hot-spot networks to offer an unrivalled user experience.
Authentication across different access technologies is handled automatically by EAP-SIM, eliminating the need for multiple log-ins. Network handovers are seamless and transparent to any applications being used by the customer. Where physical access is available, Unlimited Connection can also connect over DSL.
Unlimited Connection builds on Option's 'simplexity' philosophy: exploiting software to make high technology simple and accessible.
