Optimization Tool simultaneoulsy monitors up to 5 networks.

Press Release Summary:

Cellular network optimization and drive test tool, ZK-SAMp, includes in-building feature that lets engineers perform walk-tests inside buildings and malls using portable unit. Product does not require laptop and powers up in 3 sec for instant data collection. Integrated Floor Plan feature allows building layouts, in JPEG format, to be imported onto display and used to identify specific points of walk. Collected data is stored on industrial-grade Compact Flash card.

ZK Celltest Adds Portable "in building" Capabilities

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--February 21, 2007-ZK Celltest announces that it has added portable "in building" capabilities to its popular ZK-SAM cellular network optimization and drive test tool. The in-building feature allows engineers to perform walk-tests inside buildings and malls using a small, lightweight portable unit similar to those already used in their drive test vehicle.

ZK Celltest will exhibit the ZK-SAMp at CTIA Wireless 2007 March 27-29,
2007 in Orlando, Florida, booth number 2562.

"With the ever-increasing complexity of network measurement tools, our customers comment on how simple and straightforward the ZK-SAMp is to use," states Rich Miletic, CEO of ZK Celltest. "We often receive comments relating to how quickly the unit powers up (just three seconds), allowing the engineer to begin collecting data immediately.
The addition of the in-building feature adds yet more ease of use for ZK customers."

Designed for everyday rugged use either in a vehicle or over the shoulder for in-building use, the ZK-SAMp system includes a rechargeable/swappable battery, carry case, hand-held display and room for optional phone scanners. The ZK-SAMp does not require a laptop, and is therefore inherently more reliable than PC-based systems. An integrated "Floor Plan" feature allows building layouts, in JPEG format, to be imported onto the display and used to identify specific points of the walk

Data collected during walk-tests is stored on an industrial grade Compact Flash card. Log data can be downloaded later to a wide variety of third-party software for analysis, including Microsoft MapPoint, Actix Analyser, Xceed Windcatcher & Vortex, Microsoft Excel and applications that support ASCII Import.

The ZK-SAMp is capable of monitoring five networks at one time, ideal for indoor benchmarking. Technologies supported include CDMA, 1xRTT, EvDO, GSM, GPRS/EDGE, UMTS, WCDMA, HSDPA, HSUPA and iDEN.

The entire system weighs just three pounds for comfortable walk-testing.
Long life batteries provide up to five hours of continuous operation.

Pricing for a single phone, single technology solution starts at under $9000 (not including phones/handsets). Optional "in building" mapping software is available.
