New 'High-End' Optical Table Provides Ultimate Performance

BOSTON, MA - New vibration-damping Optical Tables from Kinetic Systems, Inc. (KSI) offer ultimate performance at extremely competitive prices. Maximum dynamic deflection and maximum relative motion for KSI's Model 5300 exceed those of any competitive model, putting it in a class by itself. KSI tables are available in many sizes and configurations with various options and accessories, to accommodate applications in the optics field.

Constructed to exacting standards, KSI Optical Tables consistently provide flat, stiff, highly damped surfaces with high natural frequencies. They offer a range of sizes up to 6' x 20'. Standard thicknesses range from 8" to 36". All tables offer broadband damping and are Class 100 Cleanroom compatible. Class 10 is available as an option.

The ultimate performer is the 5300 Series. In a class by itself, it features quad-tuned plus broadband damping, offers unsurpassed rigidity and stability, and is the logical choice for very high precision applications.

For critical optical research, the 5200 Series table offers dual-tuned plus broadband damping and excellent rigidity and stability.

For precision laboratory applications, the 5100T Series table features tuned damping and differs from the 5300 and 5200 Series only in the amount of vibration absorption provided.

For typical laboratory procedures, the 5100H Series table features nominal broadband damping using Kinetic Systems' proprietary epoxy formulation. In all other ways it is identical to the 5300, 5200, and 5100T Series.

For their most economical laboratory performer, the 5100 Series has a slightly thinner skin, yet provides good rigidity and stability.

KSI Optical Tables offer highly competitive pricing within each grade.

Standard tabletops have a ferromagnetic stainless steel top skin, a carbon steel bottom skin, and a proprietary epoxy-bonded steel honeycomb core featuring the proprietary SPILLPRUF(TM) design, in which entire rows of mounting holes are sealed to protect the core from accidental spills and simplify cleanup.

KSI Optical Tables can be customized for a variety of applications. In addition to special lengths, widths, shapes, cutouts, and notches, there are numerous options for the table's core and skin materials, including aluminum, nonmagnetic stainless steel, and Invar. Accessories include laser ports, shelves, tabletop enclosures, retractable casters, and modular butt splices for joining tables.

Kinetic Systems, Inc., is a leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of vibration isolation equipment, optical tables, and related components used in a wide range of industries worldwide, including research and development, quality control, laboratories, and semiconductor manufacturing.
