Vacuum Optical Mounts for Larger Mirrors
Space Optics Research Lab (SORL) Optical Mounts for Larger Mirrors are now available for use in vacuum environments. These clean, stable components are suitable for vacuum to 10^-6 torr vacuum. Vacuum mounts can be provided with SORL aspheric mirrors or as stand alone components. These high-precision large optic mounts for reflective components feature adjustment of orthogonal tip-tilt and height of optical axis. Coarse and fine adjustments can be made and locking screws are provided. An alignment flat can be mounted to speed and ease interferometric alignment of aspheric optics. Mirrors can mounted and aligned into their mounts if required.
Aspheric mirrors provide better image quality and best collimation in applications with a narrow field of view. Wave front accuracy of Lambda/20 is available and optics up to 40" diameter and convex or concave masters can be produced.
