Grayhill is expanding their Optical Encoder product line with the introduction of Series 62S. The Series 62S is a compact, ½" (13mm) package size that requires minimal behind panel space.

The Series 62S features a minimum life expectancy of 1 million rotational cycles, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 32 detent positions and an optional integral pushbutton. Grayhill will also customize the switch including terminations, shaft and bushing configurations and resolutions to meet specific customer requirements.

The encoder is ideal for applications where behind the panel space is limited such as avionics, global positioning systems/driver information systems, audio equipment and medical equipment. Average pricing is $22.00 each when purchasing quantities of 100-250 pieces.
