New Beckhoff Control Panels Designed for CNC Control
Operator interfaces are ideal for PC-based machine tool control systems
MINNEAPOLIS, October 4, 2005 - Designed specifically for use in the machine tool industry, Beckhoff has announced the new CP6842-xxxx and CP7842-xxxx Control Panels. For universal application as operator interfaces, the two different machine Control Panels are available for simple and efficient machine operation.
The panels' U-shaped arrangement of the control keys matches that of the Transline concept commonly used in the automotive industry. A wide range of control functions can be integrated in the keyboard extension below the display unit, such as emergency stop buttons, electromechanical keys, 45 membrane keys for axis control, spindle and override, and two Gray code switches, for example.
The CP6842-xxxx built-in-Control Panels in protection class IP 65 (front)/IP 20 (rear) are designed for control cabinet installation. The CP7842-xxxx Control Panels are designed for protection class IP 65. They can be installed at the machine, connected from the top or via an adapter plate (without auxiliary housing).
Featuring slimline aluminium housings, all Beckhoff Control Panels combine stylish design with industrial ruggedness. The modular Control Panel series from Beckhoff offers a wide range of variants in terms of housing shapes, display sizes, keys/keyboards and connection types. Display sizes are available between 6.5 and 20".
The design (including color and company logo), features and functionality of the Control Panels can also be customized to meet individual customer requirements.
