SEATTLE, Oct. 9 -- In its pursuit to enable enterprises to transform vast and rapidly growing stores of digital content into business breakthroughs, Isilon® Systems, the leader in clustered storage, today announced the release of its next-generation Isilon IQ clustered storage software. With the release of its OneFS® 4.5 operating system software, Isilon ushers a number of innovations into the storage market, including the industry's first clustered storage system to deliver one Petabyte of capacity and 10 Gigabytes per second of performance in a single file system and single volume. Isilon today also announced the release of a robust suite of applications, including the new SnapshotIQ and SmartConnect software (see separate release), providing customers with the first enterprise-ready, clustered storage software applications to protect and manage digital content.
In conjunction with the launch of its new operating system software and applications, Isilon today also announced that Brigham Exploration, Clear Channel, DNA Productions, E! Networks, and Kelman Technologies are among Isilon customers who have already used these new solutions.
