Op Amps suit power sensitive applications.

Press Release Summary:

Series OPA734 and OPA735 are 12 V amplifiers that use auto-zeroing techniques to provide 5 µV offset voltage and near zero drift. They feature 750 µA quiescent current, 200 pA bias current, 1.6 MHz bandwidth, and rail-to-rail output swing within 50 mV of rails. Series OPA734 includes shutdown mode, allowing device to be switched from normal operation to standby current that is less than 9 µA. Both series operate on single or bipolar supplies from 2.7-12 V.

TI Introduces High-Voltage, Zero-Drift Amplifiers for Precision Signal Conditioning

TUCSON, Ariz. (Apr. 2, 2004) - Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) today announced a series of 12V, zero-drift operational amplifiers from the company's Burr-Brown product line which are ideal for high-precision, power-sensitive applications requiring stability over time and temperature. Targeted applications include temperature measurement, medical instrumentation, precision strain gages, handheld test equipment, electronic scales, automotive systems and battery-powered instruments. (See http://www.ti.com/sc04093.)

"The OPA734 and OPA735 zero-drift amplifiers feature the industry's lowest supply current in the higher voltage power supply range, enabling customers to achieve high-precision designs in the low-power, high-voltage market," said Tadija Janjic, strategic marketing engineer of TI's high-performance amplifier products. "These devices are also excellent for high-precision applications that are migrating from higher supply voltage designs to +/-5V."

The OPA734 and OPA735 families use auto-zeroing techniques to provide low offset voltage (5uV max) and near zero drift over time and temperature (0.05uV/C max). Additional features include low quiescent current (750uA max), low bias current (200pA max), 1.6MHz bandwidth and rail-to-rail output swing within 50mV of the rails.

The OPA734 family includes a shutdown mode allowing the device to be switched from normal operation to a standby current that is less than 9uA and the output placed in a high-impedance state.

The OPA734 and OPA735 operate on single or bipolar supplies from +2.7V to +12V (+/-1.35V to +/-6V). All versions are specified from -40C to +125C.

Available Today
The OPA734 (single version with shutdown) comes in a SOT23-6 and SO-8. The OPA735 (single without shutdown) is packaged in a SOT23-5 and SO-8. The OPA2734 (dual with shutdown) comes in an MSOP-10 and SO-8. The OPA2735 (dual without shutdown) is available in an MSOP-8 and SO-8.

The OPA734 and OPA735 are priced from $1.25 in 1,000 piece quantities; the OPA2734 and OPA2735 are priced from $2.00 in 1,000 piece quantities (suggested resale pricing). All devices are available now from TI and its authorized distributors.
