ONYX Graphics Adds Support for MacDermid® ColorSpan® 1200-dpi, 54-inch UV-Curable Inkjet Printers
SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 28 - ONYX Graphics today announced it has added support for the recently-announced MacDermid ColorSpan family of 1200-dpi, 54-inch UV-curable inkjet printers. Drivers for these printers are available for use with ONYX® ProductionHouse(TM) and ONYX PosterShop® Version 7 Workflow Solutions software products. ONYX software solutions include key features such as PANTONE® Spot Color Matching, Contour Cutting Workflow and Automatic Job Nesting, which enhance the performance capabilities of the MacDermid ColorSpan printers.
The four models included are the ColorSpan 5440uv (4-color), ColorSpan 5445uv (2x4-color), ColorSpan 5460uv (6-color) and ColorSpan 5465uv (2x6-color). All four models accommodate media up to 54 inches wide and can print on either roll or rigid media up to 1-inch thick. ONYX has developed the MacDermid ColorSpan drivers and profiles to operate the printers at top image quality and speed performance capabilities. The ONYX drivers also include support for other features including:
o Resolutions: 1200x600 dpi, 600x600 dpi and 600x300 dpi.
o Ink Configurations: CMYK on ColorSpan 5440uv and ColorSpan 5445uv;
both CMYK and CMYKcm on ColorSpan 5660uv and ColorSpan 5465uv.
o View Ink Levels: The ONYX driver also has the ability to View Ink
Levels and update printer firmware via the printer configuration tab.
The driver includes 31 profiled modes in 6-color and 4-color media ink configurations for all MacDermid ColorSpan 54-inch UV-curable inkjet models. The ONYX drivers and profiles are available now on the ONYX website at onyxgfx.net/ .
